Hi again.

This time I want to show some of the birds that I saw on a visit to the Natural Park Riaza River Gorges. With an area of ​​6,470 ha, is located northeast of the Highlands of Segovia and bounded on the north by the province of Burgos and east to Soria.

The visit was the Raptor Refuge de Montejo de la Vega, included within this Natural Park and is managed by WWF since its construction in November 1974 a proposal, then the Vice-President, Dr. Felix Rodriguez de la Fuente.

First we stopped in the paddy fields which are located in Argueda and although the bird observatory was closed, open-access lanes, we are dedicated to see herons and other birds related to the rice fields. The second place we stopped was the Bardenas Natural Park. It has been declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and comprises 42,500 hectares of semi-desert landscape that impresses visitors.... We visited the Longar in Lillo, Laguna Larga Villacañas, the lagoon complex of Alcazar de San Juan, Laguna de la Vega of the People in Pedro Muñoz and finally Manjavacas Lagoon.
