I'll try this out for keeping track of my 2008 adventures.
December remains extremely wet - 17 inches so far this month at the airport, and far more on the mountain slopes. There's running water on the saddle where I've never even seen standing water before!
I wasn't motivated enough to go to the dry side of the mountain, and don't want to drive further than necessary until I get my new CV joint. I only went into the forests off Pu'u O'o Trail on the eastern...
