Home Sweet Home !!!

Posted Sunday 6th March 2011 at 18:45 by Paulo Boute
Hello !

Just got home from a wonderful trip to Brazil.
I met many nice people & had two chances of going birdwatching with my very good friend Don Jones.
I also presented a lecture at the Delaware Valley Ornithological Club, where I received a scope, a notebook and several pairs of binoculars to be donated to students or young biologists.
I barely can wait until to make the first delivery.

Best Regards to Everyone!

Birding in New Jersey - USA.

Posted Wednesday 2nd March 2011 at 11:41 by Paulo Boute
Hello !

I'm in New Jersey, USA.
I came for a Travel Show and also to present a lecture on Birds of Brazil.
Yesterday, I had a chance to go out for some birding with my host.
We got a some very nice birds such: Fox Sparrow, Tundra Swan, Hooded Merganser and Red-Headed Duck. Being this last one, seen by my host for the first time on that area!
A very interesting fact is: He has birding there for the past 25 years!

Very Best Regards,
...

"Arceburgo - The Hummingbird Village"

Posted Wednesday 9th February 2011 at 19:11 by Paulo Boute
Hello!

Just got back from a very nice Village: Arceburgo.
It is located at the Brazilian State of Minas Gerais.
There, a friend: Ademir, is planting trees to attract hummingbirds, all over the village!
He has a blog;

This town could be visited by those going to the Canastra National Park, going there from the International Airport of Sao Paulo.

January, 2011 - "Balance".

Posted Tuesday 1st February 2011 at 17:26 by Paulo Boute
Hello!

We ended up having January as a very good month!

We believe it was just a "warm up" for the rest of the year of 2011, since we have lots of planned birding trips!

Besides, Manaus we took guests to two more locations: Murici, where for several times we had the Seven-coloured Tanager and also to Itacaré, State of Bahia, where our guests has the Very Rare: Racket-tailed Coquette!

Morning Chorus in Aracajú!

Posted Monday 31st January 2011 at 10:29 by Paulo Boute
Hello!

Right before Sunrise, we had a Tropical Rain Shower, here in Aracajú.
Which was good enough to excite the Black-legged Hornero that was calling for a good while. I also heard a Ringed Kingfisher to fly by and also a Southern House Wren, sounds happy!

Yours,

Paulo Boute.
