A whole new World to investigate. (Turdus merula)

Just sorting my photos out and came across this one, it was it's first day out.The nest was in our neighbours garden on the other side of the fence. Within hours of this it had survived a near miss with a Cat and Magpies. In fact it was hid so well in one of the bushes in the garden it took both parents nearly an hour to find it.

Garden, Billingham. UK

Where i work has a courtyard, a pair of Blackbirds have had 4 broods already, the first chicks came way back in late March. I havn't seen any chicks for about a week. There is still time for another brood. Cheers nice shot.
