African Shrike-Flycatcher composite
A rarely photographed bird. Sometimes placed in the genus Bias.
These small active birds stick to the canopy where they are difficult to see.

The species is sexually dimorphic, the dapper black and white male contrasting with the brown spot-breasted female.

Great post Steve, that is a lot of sexual dimorphism. Superb focus, color, lighting, feather detail, and eye contact taken in great settings. Exceptional!!!
