American Woodcock
This beautiful bird - unbeknownst to me - had apparently been hanging around in Central Park for a couple of days: I got lucky and almost stood on it early morning as it sat in the shadow of a fallen branch...I don't suppose (as a visiting Brit) I'm likely to get such good views in the near future!

Scolopax minor

Congrats Charlie! Best I\'ve seen of a timber doodle. Central Park is a \"great stop-over\" on the migration. Nice memory to bring home to UK. Bob
