Birding and conservation
Two days ago, my group and I were birding and saw a limping Bald Ibis. Upon closer inspection we could see that its toes were swollen and caught by the plastic ring. I told the vet responsible for the Bald Ibis project and he said they will trap it as soon as possible to provide proper treatment. Birding and conservation!
Location
Strait of Gibraltar
Scientific name
Geronticus eremita
Equipment used
Canon 7D, Canon 300mm f/4
Fantastic shot Yeray, a real shame about the birds injured foot, ringers are more interested in stats than a birds welfare.

What a fantastic shot of this extraordinary bird. Fully agree with Joe! What for 3 rings on this bird? Thanks for sharing Yeray!
