Black-napped Monarch (Hypothymis azurea)

aka Azure Flycatcher.. this was a chance find ...my friend noticed some movement about fifty meters away in dense foliage in near darkness ....after about twenty minutes of head cranking we were able to get a brief glimpse of a bird moving about... two birds actually...that we just shot ...sometimes focusing on the nearest leaf or branch hoping to capture the bird...turned out to be a lifer... hopefully a better glimpse and a better picture on our next visit! Happy New Year 2020 to all my friends at BF!!
