Bluebird Again (Sialia sialis)

I was so excited when a large flock of Eastern Bluebirds decided to hang out in my yard all day today and eat from my feeders (they were especially fond of the peanut butter/cornmeal mix). The last time I saw them was last month during a snow flurry, and I only saw a few, not a whole flock. Not sure why they came so suddenly on a relatively warm day (around 45 degrees) but was more than glad to see them.

Indeed that would be exciting Kristie. Fabulous picture with a gorgeous background. Exceptional!!!!

Lucky you, Kristie! I usually only see them once a month during the winter, and only one at a time. What a wonderful experience to have so many! Thanks for the tip about the peanut butter and cornmeal. What a delightful capture, the lighting is superb, tfs!
