Bobolink (Dolichonyx oryzivorus)

Flocks of Bobolink and other passerines are ramping up along the Mississippi fly way it seems. Somewhat later than last year. Warblers just starting to arrive with some of the smaller eastern flycatchers and other neo trops.

As seen with the 'empties' of dandelion heads cast about, this impeturable male was gorging himself. From about 4 meters
