I was rather fortunate that this bird perched in the top of a tree where I was fishing. The next day I took my camera and tripod and managed to get the same spot, and the Cuckoo duly obliged :)

Tricky shot, wind howling, branches waving and only a limited view through the branches. This all made focussing very difficult, so I zoomed in using the digital as well as optical and managed to get focus on the bird, not on the twigs waving about.

Right place, right time,and I "did it right"

Going again on Monday, so will hope the bird returns...
