Cute bug (Saturday Fun) (Palomena prasina)

I posted a shot of this creature some time ago. On seeing this particular frame, for a moment I thought I could see a white eye with black iris, giving it a rather "cute" expression. Anthropomorphic nonsense of course! Like other insects, shield bugs have compound eyes.

it's true that it looks like a pretty face, John!! lovely capture of this little bug, top class, many tfs!!!

Re Bough Beech: yeah.... I've only been there once and it was some years ago, when I was staying with my sister who lived in Tunbridge Wells at the time. She actually spotted a Greenshank in the small one (didn't know what it was of course... she had to ask me). A nice addition to my trip list.
