Dunnock
Taken at close range with reduced depth of field, so not all the bird is sharp. It was a bright sunny day, but as they generally do, the bird was keeping a low profile, fossicking about in the shade (so 1600 ISO used).

Thank you for your kind comments on my pictures, and good birding!

A brilliant detailed ground capture you have of this Dunnock John. They do skulk a bit don't they. A brilliant close up, well done.

"Fossicking" - what a lovely word (I must confess I had to look up the meaning but it fits perfectly!) A lovely image of this beautiful little accentor John! I dare say ours will be coming back down from the mountains before too long - I had my first Coal Tit of the season the other day!
