Eurasian eagle owl at nest (Bubo bubo)

A watercolour study of this magnificent owl I did from life two weeks ago at Portilla del Tietar-in Monfrage National park -Extremadura -Spain...The weather was rainy and foggy , but aided by my telescope and sitting in safety at the sheltered outlook point in Portilla I was able to start and finish the study on location without preliminary pencil sketch...to see more from this trip at http://dougalis-wildlifeart.blogspot.de/
