Falklands Grass Wren
The was taken back in November in the hinterland behind Bertha's Beach in the Falklands. It might not be the greatest close-up, but I think it captures the reason behind its name rather well. There are only a couple of other photos of this species in the Gallery.

What a wonderfully atmospheric image. I can almost hear the wind blowing over the beach and grass. I love the scale of the bird - that's the way we see them. Very nice indeed Richard.
 
A fabulous composition Richard, totally different to what we usually see. Like it lots.
