Free As A Bird (Larus fuscus)

Recently I was at South Walney Island Nature Reserve walking close to the huge gull colony there. This Lesser Black-backed Gull took to the air and was amongst many that did the same before retuning to the ground behind me.

The sound of the sea and the call of the gulls was a constant feature. You should all go there soon while the breeding season is in full swing.

Wouldn't you like to be as free as this bird and be able to fly?
