Hello Season 2007.!

Hello Season 2007.! (Zamenis longissimus)

My first catch in 2007.! As every start of the season, it was an Aesculapian Snake, although this was the second one I saw this season.
This is the same Aesky that I caught 22.10.'06. and he has grown (from 72.5 the first time I saw him to around 80 cm)! Still shows a bit of juvenile coloration on the neck.
A real beauty, he posed for at least 30 min. and I was able to get a lot of pictures.

And it was April Fool's Day! :)
Habitat
meadows, rock formations, meadows with bushes...
Location
Vugrovec, near Zagreb, Croatia
Date taken
01.04.2007.
Scientific name
Zamenis longissimus
Equipment used
Olympus C740UZ
I real beauty indeed! I like its face from this angle (seems to be smiling widely, :) ), and the bright colouring in its body. Many congrats!

By the way, during my Easter holidays I gathered a few old pictures of Snakes. Keep an eye on the Reptiles section of the Forum, probably next week I will post the promised Quiz for you. Cheers!
