Hoopoe dustbathing (Upupa epops)

Just spent a very enjoyable afternoon in Dubai's Safa Park. Lots of migrants there including about 40 Hoopoes.
These two birds were part of a group of about 12 dustbathing at dusk - I sat under a tree and watched them for about an hour: makes a difference to glimpsing overshooting migrants disappearing over the horizon on the UK's south coast.

There are more photos of the same group at http://www.charliesbirdblog.com/~charlie/hoopoesDXB/hoopoesDXB.html
