Hoopoe - Irony (Upupa epops)

Irony at its best. I've just had a holiday in Spain where there were plenty of Hoopoes on the golf course. Come to UK only to photograph a Hoopoe in Northampton 2 miles from home, 1st sighting in UK for me. !!!

A good shot. I think it could be improoved by slightly increasing contrast and saturation.

Nice one John! Nice to see someone else who didn't 'over-cook' the colour on this pale individual. A fine Northants bird.
Also glad to see I wasn't the only one suffering from the school railings!
