In The Shallows (Egretta garzetta)

Herons and Marsh Harriers were the order of the day until this Little Egret gradually made its way over to where I was watching the reedbed and marsh. I shared this experience with Terry Eyre and we both agreed that it was rare for us to see this species in such close proximity.

This was a moment we will never forget.
