Introducing Vic the Blackbird (Turdus merula)

I first noticed "Vic" the partial leucistic Blackbird last year, but only saw him the once. This year he seems to have decided our garden is his patch. He already has a female that wanders around with him,any other Blackbird is quickly chased from his garden.
Location
Garden, Billingham. UK
Date taken
5th Feb 2007
Scientific name
Turdus merula
Equipment used
Olympus C2100 UZ + Tcon17
Wow....He's kind of a 'pied' blackbird...and, almost like a wagtail I see in Japan

Nice to see you posting, Margaret, instead of moderating, for a change! ;) Interesting bird to share, these leucistic or partial leucistic birds always surprise me. Cheers!

It is nice to have a bird with a personality in your garden.
We are looking forward to more Vic's photos.
