Island in the stream
Today's theme is distance and disappointment. Yes, I like to take a birding break on Vest-Amager any time I have a layover between flights through Copenhagen, but it's also frustrating. I don't digiscope. I don't even own a scope. The ponds along the shore where there are masses of birds are also large, with birders kept on the path along the crest of the dunes between the ponds and the sea. So the birds are often at more of a distance than I can handle well with my camera kit. :S Most of the shots I took that day were duds. Today's three are ones that only barely made the cut for keeping. And in retrospect, they made that cut by comparison to those I dumped. Without the hundreds of duds in the file, these now seem quite disappointing. :S
