Little Owl (Athene noctua)

It was a week of hard winter with temperatures bellow -20 C and hard winds. The day I took the photo the wind stopped blowing but fog covered the area. I could not see further than 50 meters. After one hour it was obvious that birdwatching was not possible. To my surprise, at the entrance of a village I saw the bird on the top of a pole. I had time to get out of the car, go near the pole and take the photo. The bird kept on looking at me but did not fly away. I was happy that on such bad weather the bird did not consider me as another menace and kept her place.
