Long-toed Lapwing
This distinctive species was new to me. In flight the wing appears mostly white in this race "V. c. leucopterus." Sometimes called Long-toed Plover.

A wonderful picture Joe - they're so like the Masked Lapwings I saw in Australia, though without the mask and wattles.
