I saw this bird on the way back to the Harbor after a whale watch. This bird was seen roughly between 1/2 to 1 mile from the harbor in the North Atlantic Ocean (the Gulf of Maine) to be exact. Any clue what it is??
Location
North Atlantic Ocean
Date taken
7/17/04
Common Loon it is, probably a one-year old bird - they are too young to breed, so don't develop breeding plumage or go imland to the breeding lakes
