Mistle Thrush

Mistle Thrush (Turdus viscivorus)

Rather heavy crop. The bird was on the same fairly distant evergreen (which I call the Far Pine) as my recent Redwing.

Thank you for your kind comments on my pictures, and good birding!

I've been hearing one round our flats for weeks, but haven't really got much in the way of pictures.

At least nowt as good as this cracker John. Wonderful work lad.

In addition to the Spotted Redshank, I think you missed these two, when you weren't too well. These were the first, but better pictures of them later, which were also posted

Marvelous back shot of this Missile Thrush taken in a great setting. Love the head turn and eye contact. Great work John!

A beautifully framed image of this handsome thrush John, even if the name of your tree has meant I've been unable to get Laurel & Hardy singing 'Trail of the Lonesome Pine' out of my mind!
