Mistletoebird (Dicaeum hirundinaceum)

The first birds we saw on arrival at the Broome Bird Observatory, were a pair of Mistletoebirds, flitting around in some mistletoe! The male, pictured here, was upside down most of the time, so very difficult to get a good photo of him.

That was one of the most stunning of the small birds I saw I think Helen.
