More backyard birds (Cairina moschata)

The spoonbill took off as soon as I stepped out on the patio for a closer shot, but there were other birds in my back yard as well. Some sparrows on the garden wall. And then a little family of Black-bellied Whistling Ducks swam by, followed by this Muscovy. While I've seen Muscovy Ducks as semi-domesticated park ducks before, this is actually their natural range, so this one could be a true wild duck. But I had other parks to visit, so I went back inside to finish packing and get out on the road.

A super capture of this beautiful Muscovy Ann! I'm always intrigued when I see an image of these guys and the red beads around their eyes.
