Northern Mocking Bird Tattnall County Georgia (Mimus polyglottos)

These lively birds are very intelligent, love to sing and mimic other birds and insects.Very territorial. Loud and aggressive. Very watchful of their nest. Will fearlessly attack anything, from cats, much larger birds of prey and humans to protect it. I have been dive-bombed by these birds but as I was too close I can only respect and love them for being such good parents. They lift their wings in an aggressive way every foot or so on the ground. Very common over a wide swath of North America and below. Omnivore. State bird of FL, TX, TN, MS and Arkansas. Former state bird of SC.

Excellent capture and picture of this talented Mockingbird. It impressed enough people to become the state bird of five states. Gorgeous picture!!!!!
