Prothonotary Warbler- Male (Protonotaria citrea)

This is the male that had bonded with the female in the accompanying upload. For a den. they eventually choose a stump in water, that protruded about 1.5 meters above the surface, with what looked like an abandoned Downy woodpecker den, just a bit down from the top. This pic was made on a day when he was trying to pick a suitable place for the lady, and lookout for interlopers. Again, a thread on favorite warblers brought this on. Until next year.
