Red-browed Finchs and Thornbill (Neochmia temporalis)

Small birds pass through the garden on and around our decking several times a day. An eclectic group of ground, under and upper story birds. Some are seasonal members of the group. 6 or more species is not uncommon. I assume they move together for mutual protection. Many eyes to spot dangers. Yesterday Red-browed Finches joined the group for the first time in a number of years. Hot weather and fires may be influencing their regular migrations.
A rare day of rain filled containers with water and they crammed in for a wash.
