Redwing (Turdus iliacus)

A flock of Redwings has been systematically stripping the berries from a pyracantha in the garden over the last couple of days. I got this shot by putting my camera on a tripod in the garden with a remote release attached. It was a first time experiment, but I am pleased with the results. Thank goodness for digital photography though, as the number of useless shots to go with the few good ones would have bankrupted me in the good old days of film!

Great bird in a lovely setting, every time I see all the berries on pyracantha I resolve to plant one here in the garden.
