Regent Bowerbird (Sericulus chrysoephalus)

Pulled this one out from my collection of slides. Scanned at 2400dpi but still disappointing. Taken at O'Reillys Guest House - Lamington National Park Queensland Australia, on a 3 month camping trip around Australia in 1999. O'Reillys Guest House is a place not to be missed. Regents visit your camp site.

What a thrill that must have been to see these beautiful birds so close. I hope to get there one day. Neil.

We camped at O'Reilly's and had Regent and Satin Bowerbirds on our camp table. With flocks of 20 at a time, just too beautiful! Lewin's Honeyeater slipped it tongue around the under the lid of drink bottles and lip of upturned glasses to drink the cordial.
