Ross's Goose (Chen rossii)

Location
Reno, Nevada, U.S.A.
Date taken
December 11th, 2004
Scientific name
Chen rossii
Equipment used
Nikon D70 with 400mm lens
Nice shot, thanks. When I see these biids they are in huge flocks and not easy to photograph singly.

Thanks for your kind comments. Ross's Goose is only a stray in Reno--we never get more than 1 or 2 a winter. They often join the big Canada Goose flocks in parks and golf courses where they sometimes become quite approachable as was the case with this one.
