Sanderling (Calidris alba)

I actually spent a lot of time trying to get some interesting images of Turnstone...but seemed to keep getting drawn into photographing the Sanderling and Willets present.

1/2000, f5.6, ISO 400, full frame
Habitat
Beach
Location
Sanibel Island, FL
Date taken
Nov 2007
Scientific name
Calidris alba
Equipment used
Canon 1D2N, 500/4 IS, 1.4x, 12mm
Thanks everyone.

Mac - yes, I was crawling in the sand - I couldn't have got any lower without a spade!
Ove - no mist, just very shallow DOF making the back of the sanderling merge with the BG.
