This hard-as-nails female Wheatear presumably crossed the Channel into the teeth of an Arctic blast today!

It's good to see them back. There's been a few around my area already though I haven't seen one myself yet.
 
Thanks folks. You can see from the muddy bill that it was pretty hungry after its strenuous journey to the UK...
