Where There's a Will, There's a Way (Arenaria interpres)

Habitat
jetty
Location
Quintana, Texas
Date taken
8-16-08
Scientific name
Arenaria interpres
Equipment used
Sony A-700 Tamron 200-500mm
This one should have competed in the Olympic Games in "long jump"! ;) Great and special capture of a Turnstone, Bill, very good job!!! :t: :t:

To those who want to know what the bird is doing. He is leaning over with his bill against the side of the jetty that is often under water. While using his bill against the rock to keep from falling, he is also trying to eat something like a barnacle or something else (maybe a small sea slug?)on the rock. Thanks for the interest and commentary! regards~Bill
