Turquoise Beauty (Psephotus dissimilis)

This male and his mate, look closely in the grass behind him, as well as about a dozen other Hooded Parrots were feeding close to the camp grounds at Pine Creek, Northern Territory. They are locally common to the area but very restricted in their range.

Terrific capture Mike I never saw one last July at Pine Creek. Such a lovely looking bird.
