Cattle Egret (breeding plumage) (Bubulcus ibis)

couldn't help the "burn" coz it was a bright day & with such white plumage couldn't cut out too much light otherwise would have lost the other colouring - Focal Length: 135mm - 1/400 sec - F/6.3

Location
Lamma Island, Hong Kong
Date taken
05/04/2005

Thanks ob....., have to get close, would like to get a longer lens, but can't afford one at the moment.......had to zoom out on this one coz trying to get the eye centre frame......, was there again from 5:30am to try & get without the "burn", but seem to be much more alert & as soon as I moved the lens even slightly was away - stayed 2 hours without taking a single picture...., sigh, there's always tomorrow

Just reloaded w/new pic from today, still some "burn" coz the sun was strong again today...., & just for you ob, thought I'd put in one of the 60mm pics (1/800 sec - F/7.1) .... Guy
