Wilson's Warbler
This little beauty was the vanguard for what turned out to be anexceptional passage of birds out in the Gulf of Mexico. Just from our little vessel, we had species as diverse as Belted Kingfisher, Palm Warbler, Chuck-will's-Widow, Great Blue Heron, Peregrine Falcon, Gray Catbird and Mourning Dove all heading south. In total we saw nearly 500 birds of at least 15 species, when the average day may see just 2-3 species.
