While browsing my gallery looking for an old shot, I realized how long I've been far away from the swamps, marshes and wetlands I used to visit regularly ... this picture is just a reminder of how beautiful this habitat is and how I should try to scout it more often

great details and lovely setting.

many sightings for this one in last winter and the year before in the north of my country, so many birder here and waiting for a cold wave hoping it will bring it also this year.
 
A superb portrait of a great bird, Max! I've only ever seen one once and my pictures were nowhere near this class.
 
That's a wall hanger Max, fine image, colour and you can almost feel the texture of those reeds .......
