Narcissus
I was at a local lagoon late one afternoon and used a broken sapling stump as a makeshift tripod to "mobi-bin" this photo. This was done with some measure of difficulty by roughly lining up by hand the camera on my Samsung Note 3 mobile phone with one side of my Zen-Ray 8x43 ED3 binoculars. I was really amazed at the IQ clarity of this small sensor and 250mm (35mm equivalent) focal length. There is lots of potential there with an adapter that gives better alignment and positioning. Just as well old mate goose was busy staring at his beautiful reflection to give me enough time to get the shot. :))
Habitat
Man made Historical - some introduced species
Location
Lagoon
Date taken

Scientific name
Narcissus Stareusalotus
Equipment used
Samsung Note 3 + Zen-Ray 8x43 ED3. Combined = 250mm equivalent! (considering the Note 3's 13MP 1/3.06inch sensor size with the 31mm eq f2.2 lens [= 0.62multiplier] from the phone lens x 400mm equiv bin)

A lovely and beautifully lit image of these Geese Chosun! I love the stare into the reflection ;)

Thanks KC :t: - I think this camera phone + binoculars caper has pretty good potential for an always on you bit of kit - definitely need to get a proper click on fixing adapter though - way easier than trying to fiddle around lining everything up by hand! :))

Oh such pretty lighting! The reflection and setting are lovely too.

Thanks Kits :cat: it's a lovely peaceful spot, and it was a very relaxing late afternoon, with the last rays of sunshine lending a beautiful soft glow to the place :))
