Nice shot, welcome to Birdforum.Net...It doesn't look like a Peregrine to me.
 
I had a look at some variable hawk photos and I'm sure it's not one of them. I do have some other photos with a different bird that does look like the variable, has brown speckles etc, but definitely not a red back.

But to be fair I just liked the shooting. Amazing place, very much untouched by humanity in the way most other places are. I even have a photo of a Peale's dolphin.
