Resin Bee
Resin Bee (Heriades sp.: Megachilidae) 6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in) long. Foraging on Chaste Tree also called Chasteberry (Vitex agnus-castus: Lamiaceae). Although called a tree, I have never seen one that was not a shrub. Brazos Valley Arboretum, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA. Planted garden within the arboretum at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.
