Otter (Lutra Lutra)

We went for a walk on Arran last year, and horizontal rain ensued (imagine...). On the way back I was walking along the shore (I'm always last back, as I often just stop and stand still, waiting to see what's about), when I saw something moving on a rock quite a bit out to sea. I thought it was a bird, and it wasn't until I zoomed in on the photo I'd taken that I realised what it was. Many more pics were then taken!

So pretty! I saw an otter once in Loch Lomond, but it was quite late and too dark to take any photos.

Great shot Ian, always good to see an Otter, I've not managed a decent shot yet!
