Between the country store and the dam, we stopped in a cute little village for lunch and then at Robert Fulton's home. Only the garden was open for visitors that day, but that was ok for us. We had a leg stretch, saw loads of butterflies and other insects, and watched Amish (or maybe they were Mennonite) families pass by - some driving horse buggies, one farmer driving a mule wagon, one father with two sons walking past barefoot carrying fishing poles. I'll post some butterflies later, but for that spot I'll start with this colorful wasp. I kept my distance, assuming that red butt was a warning. Anybody know what species this is?
