White gorgeted flycatcher (Anthipes monileger)

PAKHI DEKHOON PAKHI CHINOON @ 789 [Observe the bird and recognize] A4Watercolour [From the Ref. photograph of Internet] The white-gorgeted flycatcher (Anthipes monileger) is a species of passerine bird in the Old World flycatcher family.
It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It was formerly placed in the genus Ficedula.
11513 cm; 11 g. Small brown forest flycatcher with short tail, large head and brilliant white throat. Nominate race has head and upperparts mostly dull olive-brown.
Song a long series of thin, high-pitched whistled notes in phrases.
Food not well known, but includes small invertebrates. Usually solitary or in pairs; shy, skulking and secretive.
Breeding Season from end Apr to Jun in NE India, and MarAug in SE Asia. Nest a ball of grass and leaves.
