Chuquiraga (Chuquiraga jussieui: Asteraceae) This beautiful high mountain evergreen species of shrub is found in Ecuador and Perú and attracts hummingbirds, especially the Andean Hillstar. There are over twenty (20) species of Chuquiraga in South America. West of Huánuco, Huánuco, Perú. Short puna grassland on mountain slopes at ca. 4,000 m (13,123 ft) elevation.
