Redwing, 1st summer male (Agelaius phoeniceus)

For a minute there I thought this was another lifer. Then I realized what he was. Not all that disappointed, though. In a way, he was a lifer after all. I'd never seen a Redwing blackbird at this stage before.

Always a milestone when you come across and recognise and different plumage stage, isn't it.
