Maredumilli

I love this forest for its fragrant air and tall trees but the fact that we are stuck to the road on foot( the forest is too dense to explore on either side of the road) is a cause for concern... sloth bears, Gaur(Indian Wild Bison), Leopards and a return of Tigers to this forest has put second thoughts about visiting this forest!!! Though Gaur are timid by nature they have been known to be particularly aggressive in this part of the world.

...... but it sounds like an exciting forest to wander in Kish!;) I really don't know why you find it so scary now!!!!

That's a great view, I love windy paths like that, can't wait to see what's round the next bend LOL

Many thanks for showing it to us my friend.

I can understand your trepidation! :eek!: when I was more adventurous I once walked through Royal Chitwan National Park for about 4 nerve-racking hours! Our "guide" was 'armed' with a stick ...

We heard a tiger roar on the other side of some dense vegetation and deer scattered through the forest like mice when a farmer lifts a flat sheet of corrugated iron up from the ground during a mouse plague !! You should have seen the whites of the guides eyes !!! I didn't think things were too flash then ....... :eek!: :eek!:

Longest walk of my life! ...... I swore to myself then that I would never put myself in the position of being a 'prey animal' again ...... :cat:

Chosun :gh:

Excellent shot of this forest, Doc; reminds me of my visit to Ganeshgudi near Dandeli last year. I wonder if vehicles are allowed inside that forest which might be the best way to go on a safari. tfs.
